Baby Update

Our family got to see baby squid for the first time last Thursday. We waited until after daddy got home from "worker job" and all went to see into mommy's belly. Matt was a good trooper for a 2 year old. We had planed ahead for his short attention span and brought a snack and some new books and a quiet toy. He was interested for a bit and that was fun, he wanted to know how it all worked.

The baby cooperated nicely for its first big photo-op. It is coming complete with fingers, toes, hands, feet, legs, arms, body and a head. If I have forgotten to make anything i still have some time to make it. The tec. running the show was really getting in to it. We got to see the baby open and close its mouth, and even swallow (she got super excited over that). I guess it is starting to get more real. At times I am excited and others I ask why I chose to do this again.

For those who would like to be surprised DON'T READ ANY FARTHER!!!

We are expecting to add another whistle to our house hold. The no girls allowed rule is still in full affect at our house ( I am already starting to feel out numbered). At least I already have the cloths.

here we go again. . . . . .

Mothers Day

Well this mothers day was just like all the other days. No sleeping in ( our church starts at 8:30), breakfast in bed, nothing too special at all. I cleaned some of my house, did laundry and caught up on paper work.

It wasn't all bad. Matt gave me a flower pot he made at home deopt, I just have to find a flower to kill. Rob cooked dinner for me and did all the dishes, it was good. Rob and Matt gave me two willow tree figures to represent out soon to be growing family, so thanks guys!

Things with squid (baby) are going fine. I am 17 weeks along and no where near the size of Amber. I can feel some random movements nothing to feel from the out side yet ( hence squid). I have told Matt that mommy has a baby in her belly and lift my shirt to show him my little bump. So he in turn lifts up his shirt to show me "his baby". I try to tell him only mommys can have babies but I don't think he gets it yet. He does however like to listen to my belly to see if baby has hiccups. Any time he sees a baby he points to my belly and says " like your baby". Time will tell how he will handle thins new change in his life.

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers!!

I Guess He Needed Something

This is the elusive black cat that most visitors don't get to see. However i think with Matthew around he is starting to give up hiding because Matt will just find him. I guess nothing beats a "fresh" drink of water.
