Sprinkler Fun

SueAnn took these for me when the kids were playing outside on the 19th. I hade to share how cute they are.

It is hard to believe how cute and good looking Matt is turning out to be based on his parents.

Play Date

SueAnn and I decided the cousins don't see each other enough so we arranged a play date on Monday the 10th. They came down to my house and we had wanted to go to the children's museum however they were not open on Mondays. So a thought occurred to me it has been a while since I have been to the Milwaukee Public Museum. With a quick look any Milwaukee resident gets in free on Mondays! Yippy!!!

We packed the kids and off we went. Matt & Rach are a little young to be interested in too much of it yet so we didn't get to stop and read much. They enjoyed having different surroundings and stuff to look at. They rode in strollers and pushed them and ran all over. They took a good nap that day. It was a fun something to do on a cold and cloudy day.

They got to see butterflies.

Mothers Day?

Mothers day has come and gone. I had to work that weekend and go to a birthday party for one of matts friend. Rob got to help his brother re-roof his house. Well it takes more than one day to re-roof a house so he went down Sunday to finish the job (Mothers Day).

For mothers day Matthew was such a sweety! He took me to McDonald's for breakfast just him and Me. After that it was cleaning and laundry and keeping Matt occupied long enough for me to work around him. After a nap, for matt not me, we went down to Palmyra to meet dad for dinner. I felt like I worked all day long!

Thanks reality for that slap in the face. THIS IS WHAT MOTHERS DO!!
(I hope Matt doesn't spend too much money on his therapy)

Chaos Strikes Again

Life at our house has been crazy! With Rob and I working I have also gone to Canada for training and I had a sitter for Matthew all lined up. The day before I leave I get a call that my sitter needs to go out of town due to a death in the family. Of course I understand, however I can't cancel my plans. My sister in-law Sarah came to my rescue for a day and grandma and grandpa and even Uncle Aaron helped the rest of the time. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I am thankful for all the help.

The next weekend I had students graduating so we had a dinner dance for them to celebrate. Rob stepped up and helped a lot, I think he has fun hanging out with Matt. You know guy time.

On top of it all I am changing day sitters for Matthew this month. I had thought about it a lot and Rob and I thought it would be good if Matt got to hang out with his cousin Rachel. So Sueann will be watching him for us starting tomorrow. Good luck to her for watching two kids that don't slow down much but they will have a fun summer together. She is looking forward to it.

The lady that was watching him for us was doing a fine job and her kid and Matt had fun together. We will have play dates but Matt never really napped for her and it seamed like I was putting her out. However on the last day when Rob came to pick Matthew up, Matt gave her huggs by-by like always and she stared to get emotional. Now I feel like a big ASS but just have to remember that in the long run it will be good for Matt. It's not like I will never see her again, i still feel a little bad.
