Happy Birthday Rob

Way back in the beginning of April Rob turned 35!!!That is like half way to 40! It does not seem possible for me to be married to anyone so OLD. But then again I am no spring chicken.
In many ways Rob is still young, he likes to help where ever he is needed. He helps people move, he helps kids have fun on four wheelers and works really hard for his family.

Matt was super excited it was his dads birthday. He helped me decorate the kitchen for the "party" (just us), with streamers and balloons Then we went outside to make a happy birthday sign out of chalk for dad to see when he got home (it was really big). I also made him lasagna for dinner, a rare delicacy.

When Rob got home from work he just rolled his eyes and said what is all this? Now for those of you not familiar with the Moss men, they hate any birthday attention and big fusses over just another day. Lucky for me Matt was in the other room and had not heard his dad come home from work yet. I looked at Rob and told him flat out to change his attitude because a certain little boy was thrilled his dad was having a birthday and worked hard on helping with the decorations. It wasn't about him anymore and he had the feelings of his kids to consider. He got the point and put on a happy party face and had a fun quiet evening with his family.

So here is a belated Happy Birthday to a swell guy, a great dad and a hard working hubby.
We love you!

Seth: 5 Months

Seth turned 5 months back in March. I still feel as if he has been apart of our lives forever. He is just a happy little guy. He has got just a magical smile and laugh. He rolled over for the first time from back to belly on March 22nd. Lucky he only does it once in a great while.

He is just a huge baby. Nothing like Matt was, he was long and skinny. Seth is long and round which makes for a heavy baby to carry. I don't think I have seen so many rolls on a baby. But a fat and happy , healthy baby is a good one to have.

Our happy little guy.

The " get in my belly" look.

Matt wanted his picture taken too.

More Fun In March / St. Patty's Sleep Over

One of the last things we did that week was go for pizza and fun. A nurf ball shooting area, bumper cars, and a small "giant drop". I think the adults just may have had more fun than the kids.

That night we had Jed sleep over and the next morning they woke up to this.

Little leprechauns had gotten into my house and left foot prints all over.
The St. Patty's day fun continued with green hair for the boys.

Seth and Clair decked out for the holiday.

Still Here!

We had a busy March. We had a great chance to go to Lego land and Betty Brinn Museum. Matt had so much fun playing with cousins in both adventures. Lego land had so many fun things to do, a small roller coaster and a 4-D movie theater (so cool). I had a great time looking at all the things they made out of legos. Matt had a great time racing cars.

Last stop Ikea. Moms fun place.

The next day we went to Betty Brinn with Morgan and Shelby. That place has changed for the better. Matt never gets tired of learning at his play. Seth has fun too, just in a very different way. He is a big trouper, getting lugged around place to place and still he is happy.

Matt is protecting his "family" of pine cones.

Snow-FUN!

Last night we had gotten about 5- 6 inches of snow. Our very gray/ brown dingy winter was magically transformed to beautiful white. Work for me was called off so I packed up the kids and went to where there was more yard to play in. To the Moss house for fun in the snow: four wheeler rides, pulled behind on sled and a snow person (we couldn't decide if it was a boy or girl). Seth and I stayed inside and fun Aunt SueAnny took the kids out side to play. The snow was nice and wet and heavy but the weather was nice for playing out side. I was beginning to think that Matt would not be able to enjoy playing in snow this year and I got snow gear that fits for no reason. I am glad he was able to use it at least once.

Snow is fun to eat.

Cute little Livy!

Building a snow person.

All done!

Seth: 4 Months Old

This is so Rob, No smiling. He looks tons like Matt but yet still different. Can't put my finger on it.

It seams like our little guy has been part of the family forever already but it has only been 4 short months. So fare Seth and Matt get along just fine, but we will see if that holds true once Seth starts taking Matt's toys. Life in our house is sometimes crazy and sometimes a joy. Matt is getting even more funny everyday. He enjoys talking to Seth and can understand when I need to take care of Seth and not play with him. He even tells me I can't leave the house without Seth. One time he got really nervous that him and I had left the house to go to the store and Seth had stayed home with dad. It took some convincing but we got it straightened out.

Seth went to go see the doc for a check up and all is well. My little bundle of joy is over 15 pounds and wearing 6 month size clothing (he is huge!). Funny how Seth came out smaller than Matt did but is now bigger than Matt was at this time. Goes to show you no two kids are the same. Seth can do lots of things already! Even the doctor commented on how advanced her seamed to be.

He can . . . . . . .
  • Smile and laugh (love those baby laughs)
  • Blow bubbles and rattle his lips (he has been blowing bubbles from day one and rattling his lips for a while now)
  • Loves to stand on his feet (supported) rather than lay down
  • Thinks he can sit up (but not yet, as hard as he tries)
  • Can grab an object held out in front of him
  • Doesn't like a lot of belly time
  • Loves to see all the action and would rather be carried around than left on the floor.
  • Turn to the side from his back to reach a toy
  • Screech with joy ( my little pterodactyl)
  • Grab his toes, can't get them in his mouth his belly is in the way
We do love having him in our family. It makes for some crazy time but those giggles are worth it. I am excited to see what little personality is going to come from this happy baby.

We got one with him smiling !!!!

Just like Daddy

I was looking at my photos and came across a funny coincidence

Dad's favorite sleeping position, arms up.

Matt could wiggle out of any blanket wrap job just so he could sleep like dad.

Seth really wanted to be like dad and big brother.

I understand Matt and Seth wanted to stretch after a tight living space,
but Dad. ?
I am feeling out numbered here.
